Hello, I am Mariesa! I am Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and parents, providing compassionate, developmentally appropriate care tailored to each family’s unique needs.

Clinical Approach: 

My therapeutic approach is integrative and relationship-focused, Adlerian in orientation, incorporating play therapy, sand-tray therapy, attachment-based work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where children and teens can express themselves, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen their connections with caregivers.

I have completed advanced training in DBT, Experiential Play Therapy, Level 1 Theraplay, and DC:0–5 (Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood). I partner closely with parents to foster secure attachment, improve communication, and promote lasting emotional and behavioral growth within the family system.

Hobbies:

When I am not working, I enjoy raising my two boys and spending quality time with my husband—especially trying out new restaurants and exploring local favorites together. I deeply value family and overall well-being, both personally and professionally, and believe that nurturing emotional health is foundational to thriving individuals, strong families, and resilient communities.

My goal is to empower children, teens, and families with practical tools, deeper understanding, and meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.
